Polishing a turd - its phrase we`ve all heard, and this Dawes vintage racing bike is a great example - when I picked it up the Dawes was a total heap, fit only for the skip.
In this video we pull the Dawes to pieces, bin all the parts then start again, sorting out the decals and paint then retrofitting a full Campagnolo Chorus 9 speed groupset and kit - and its not easy going as the Daws frame fights me all the way.
The end result is quite a suprise = its no Cinelli but it rides really well and looks soooo much better - still not a big fan of period Brtish bikes though...
