How to Create an Intuitive Watercolor Painting of a Butterfly

This video is a step by step process for painting a butterfly in a loose and relaxed manner. People with beginner to intermediate skills in watercolor painting should be able to recreate this type of project.

Here’s a list of the materials I used for this painting:

Watercolor paper
Artist tape
Water
Paper towel
Watercolor paint by Windsor and Newton and Daniel Smith (I used shades of magenta, red, orange, yellow and indigo to create this painting).
Round brushes in varying sizes by Artist Brush
Gold pen
Heat tool (or hairdryer ;) ) to remove tape from paper
