October is the time when we aerate the greens. It is a crucial task that must be done in order to keep the greens as healthy as possible.
As we were aerating our practice green, a clubhouse employee approached and said "I never realized everything that went into this process. I was amazed from start to finish". Upon hearing this, I thought to myself, what a great opportunity to show everyone how Ironwood Golf Club aerates the greens.
It was difficult to capture all of the steps necessary as I was leading the charge. I filmed this on the fly, and wish there were more things I discussed as it was happening and also wish I placed the camera in better spots. However, we had to get this done and after all, my job is to take care of the course and not film videos! I still think you'll have a pretty good idea of what is going on.
