POV Carpet Cleaning | No Water, No Complaints (Almost) 😮‍💨 Sleep Now 12-31-25


Greetings beautiful people, new year, same peaceful vibes. Join me on this ASMR adventure as I tackle my last carpet cleaning of the year.

First off, let me say—I was tired as heck. Earlier that day I had just finished battling one of the craziest carpets I tackled all year. Straight warfare. So when I looked at the calendar and saw this job listed as 4 rooms, I said, ok ok… cool. Then I saw no stairs and said it again, louder. Very nice.

In my mind this was simple. Knock it out, head home, hot bath loading… you know the vibe.

I pull up, knock on the door, and wait for my guy Tom Crews to answer. Yes… that was his real name 😂. Tom was a landlord and manages several properties with his wife. I’ve been out here in the wilderness for about 14 years, and I’ve leaned on my wife every step of the way—so anytime I see a battle-tested husband-and-wife duo, I automatically feel a deep admiration.

But wait… hold up.

Why does it smell like straight dog rump in here?
Me: “Your tenant had dogs?”
Tom Crews: “Nope.”
Me: “Ahhhhh…”

🧠 Mind buffering… resource overload…

Whatever. I don’t know what that tenant was doing in here and I don’t want to know. I tell Tom to have a seat and let me get active—I’m trying to get in this tub tonight.

High-pH prespray goes down (this stuff has been getting more action than my regular prespray, smh). Then I pull out the CRB because my people been asking for it. Might as well bless the fibers properly. I lay it down thick. CRB humming, doing its thing… until I grab the wrong cord.

That bad boy got jammed all the way up.
Got dog it.
Ain’t nobody got time for this.

It was jammed so bad I had to grab a wrench just to pull the pins out. Absolute nonsense. Eventually I get it sorted and it’s finally time to extract.

First room? Smooth.
Second room? I’m rolling… and then it hits me.

Hmm… my pressure feels off.

I keep pulling the trigger and it’s getting weaker and weaker. Now I’m panicking. This unit is still pretty new—nothing crazy should be happening. I run outside and look at the PSI gauge. It’s sitting around 280. I know I had it set closer to 500.

I try turning it back up.
The needle doesn’t move.

Uh oh.

I crack the valve on the water line coming out of the unit and it starts sputtering.
Ahhhhh.

I peek into the tank.

Empty.

WOW. First time this has ever happened to me. I’m guessing that earlier madness from that bodega-level carpet completely drained me. Wild.

Woosah.
I’m safe. I’m blessed. I’m annoyed—but this is minor.
(This is me talking to myself so I don’t make the situation worse by letting frustration take over.)

I ask Tom if he has an outside water hookup. He tells me the water is shut off because of renovations.



At this point… I just want to go home.

Tom offers to talk to the neighbors and even asks if I want to come back tomorrow.
No sir. We are not doing that. We finishing tonight.

He walks across the street to another one of his properties and the tenant agrees to let me use their water. Major salute. I offer to bless his Cash App—he refuses.

See… that’s why I like you, brother.

I give him my card and tell him to hit me when he needs his carpet cleaned. I’ll take care of him.

Tank filled. Van whipped back over. I went crazy on that carpet and wrapped it up strong. Still had about an hour drive home, but not before grabbing something to eat and winterizing the truck mount—because winter don’t play.

Man… I cannot wait for spring.
