Quarter Panel Rust Repair

In this weeks video, I fix rust on a 2010 Dodge Challenger. This Dodge Challenger had rust on the lower portion of both quarters panels. Rust repairs can be overwhelming because rust usually starts on the inside and rots it’s way out. The best way to fight rust is to cut it out completely. Then, replace the metal as far as you need to go. Come back on the back side of each panel that is welded and replace the corrosion protection.
I knew it was going to be a challenge. Although, I didn’t expect as big of a challenge as it actually was. I spent twice the time I thought I would. Due to the cost of used quarter panels, I decided to make patch panels. This was time consuming, but worth it in the end. I followed up the backside of all the panels with epoxy primer and cavity wax. Even though it took longer than expected, the time was well spent and the results speak for themselves.
