In today’s video, we’re baking up a proper classic – the Old Skool Bakewell Tart! This one’s based on a Mary Berry recipe (or as we like to call her – our Bezza) and it’s dead simple, no faff, and absolutely lush.
The icing would have looked better if the cake had cooled but we were making it to yake to a friends so had to do it there and rhen as ran our of time lol

Ingredients
For the shortcrust pastry
175g plain flour
75g chilled butter
2–3 tbsp cold water
For the filling
3–4 tbsp raspberry jam or as much as you like we go full on jammy
125g butter
125g caster sugar
125g ground almonds
1 free-range egg, beaten
½ tsp almond extract
50g flaked almonds
For the icing
80g icing sugar mixed with water until you get your consistency
