This video shows you a summer walk around Takasu city center district.
Takasu Town is relatively small, with a total population of 6,518 and an area of 139.42 km². It is about a 25-minute drive from the center of Takasu to the center of Asahikawa City.
This exploration starts from the community center located in the heart of Takasu Town.
After taking a tour around here, I explored the central area of the town.
You can see the town hall, large sports park, concert hall etc...
In the short time I walked around, what struck me was the relaxed atmosphere enveloping this town. Asahikawa isn't crowded either, but here there's even less hustle and bustle, and the blend of natural scenery with the town felt really harmonious and beautiful.
While it's not a town typically visited for tourism, it's no wonder they call it a peaceful bedroom community of Asahikawa.
