The city transforms after sunset—warm lights reflecting on the old stone walls, calm streets, cozy cafés, and the sound of waves coming from the harbor. Since this walk is on a weekday night, the famous Bar Street is not crowded, which makes it perfect for wandering around, taking photos, and enjoying a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
On weekends, the same streets turn lively and packed with people, music, and nightlife, but on weekdays you get a completely different vibe—slow, calm, and perfect for exploring.

Girne is one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Northern Cyprus. Known for its historic harbor, Venetian-era castle, and narrow cobblestone streets, the city has been an important port for centuries. Kyrenia’s history goes back to ancient Greek settlers, followed by Roman, Byzantine, Lusignan, Venetian, and Ottoman periods. Each era left its mark on the architecture, creating the charming mix of old stone houses, wooden balconies, and small winding alleys that you see today.
