The aviation field offers a broad range of job opportunities throughout Alaska and the world. The program is designed to prepare students for the FAA’s Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) exam. Passing the exam allows students to find jobs in aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification and other maintenance-related fields, as well as perform maintenance on personal aircraft. Most graduates choose to work in general aviation and many have gone on to become lead mechanics, shop foremen, and directors of maintenance.
