16 Hours on Amtrak Cardinal in Coach | Cincinnati to Washington DC

What is it really like to spend 16 hours on Amtrak’s Cardinal? In this video, I take the Cardinal in coach from Cincinnati to Washington, DC, a route that could be an 8-hour drive, but instead, you can relax as it winds through some of the most scenic landscapes on the East Coast.

We’ll ride along the Ohio River in Kentucky, cross the mountains of West Virginia, and pass straight through the New River Gorge under one of the tallest bridges in America. From there, the train continues through Virginia before reaching Union Station in DC.
