Dr. Myra Reed is a board-certified internist and integrated functional medicine physician. Dr. Reed graduated from LSU Medical School and completed an internship and residency at the University of Texas. Dr. Reed has practiced medicine for over 30 years and opened her private practice in 2001.

Dr. Reed believes that what makes her different, especially from most primary care doctors in this area, is her personalized approach and closer relationships with her patients. By limiting her practice to a smaller number, Dr. Reed can spend much more time with each patient, better understand their needs, and be there whether that means same-day or next-day appointments, after-hours access, or email and text communications.

Dr. Reed believes functional medicine is the future of medicine. The 21st century, cutting-edge approach to healthcare where most physician groups are still stuck in 20th-century medical practice, heavily persuaded by the pharmaceutical industry. Being certified in Functional Medicine since 2017 has allowed Dr. Reed to specialize in diagnosing conditions that are often overlooked, such as conditions related to mold exposure, Lyme disease, and natural methods of Alzheimer's reversal, and using techniques like Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) IV therapy, a type of intravenous treatment that can stimulate cell regeneration in your body, to approach the treatment phase of the condition.
