(Debug kit: See further down.) The devs are sure stepping on the gas before Christmas, trying to get the "Respawn Update" out in time for the holidays. TONS of changes and additions on Beta, almost impossible to keep up with ... plus I'm not 100% on deck at the moment, so I had to cut it short. Even forgot to mention the PORTABLE TANK connectors for the landing pad, and that its center piece and other tanks are now FULLY insulated, and the pumps only pump either liquid or gas, nothing else will be transported, and they move the last bit of substance faster for more convenient trading. I also forgot the new INVENTORY SORT BUTTON: https://i.imgur.com/m1wh1ib.png And the thing with the LED zero digit slash ... oops, hehe.
The orbital stations aren't yet officially on Beta, but you can get there and build, just requires some tricksery. But they're not far away from being normal gameplay! The Crew Module and Crew Umbilical are already in the works, as is the Orbital Rocket Mount. Building in zero gravity and vacuum up there is already possible.
The devs really did A LOT, and this news episode absolutely doesn't live up to it, and is quite below the standard it should be, but it's the best I could do currently.
Why "respawn" update? Maybe it's a bit self-referential and an insinuation as to the near development future. Or is it only referring to the fact that we now drop in with a new capsule when we die? And that you start with an emergency suit even in Stationeer difficulty? Or because of all the little things that were changed and improved? E.g. the big battery charger is now way more expensive (and prints more slowly).
How to get the kit debug: Savegame hack. I did it like this: I created a toolbelt (e.g. console "thing spawn ItemToolbelt", or by printing), saved the game, unzipped the savegame (It's named ".save", but the file itself is really just a ".zip"), edited its "world.xml" to replace the "ItemToolBelt" word in that one place where I found it with "ItemKitDebug", saved the text, zipped+renamed, exited to main menu, loaded the savegame, and then I saw in my inventory what you saw in the video - I assume the ItemKitDebug looks different every development generation because of what it represents.
