Learn how to repair and replace asbestos or fiber cement siding! (SAFETY FIRST - WEAR A MASK)
In this video, I show you how I repair(ed) and replaced the broken asbestos siding shingles / tiles on the side of my house. I replaced these asbestos shingles with fiber cement siding replacement shingles / tiles that I purchased online. The steps to replace broken asbestos siding are:
1. Remove the nails securing the damaged / broken piece of asbestos / fiber cement siding to the house.
2. Remove the damaged / broken piece of fiber cement siding (or asbestos) from the house.
3. Replace the damaged piece of asbestos shingle with a new replacement piece of fiber cement siding.
Overall this is a very easy DIY project that anyone can do. However, asbestos is dangerous, so proper PPE should be worn at all times when handling it.
