HG Zortwort Heavy. Articulation LET DOWN

What’s up Gunpla fam? Today we are reviewing the HG Zowort Heavy. As you can see by the title I was not thrilled with the posing of this witch from mercury kit, but I guess not every kit is a home run. Cover that more in the cons section. I’ve built a few WFM models and usually are fantastic from beginning to end. I did enjoy the build and the finished kit looks good in that army green. I said it numerous times in the live build this kit very much reminds me of armor core mechs. So let’s get into the Pros of the kit.

Mentioned above it is a very military style gunpla and certainly fills that grunt profile well. As like any other WFM kit it doesn’t have polycaps and useless the actual molded plastic to make all the joint connections. That orange clear visor looks really good. Cleanup was decent with minimal nubbing( yes a little bit, but doable) I will have to give props to the ability to stand without a base, I mean the proportions are not even close to equal. (Tiny legs and huge upper body) Finally the additional backpack weapons look great giving that heavy look.

Let’s talk about the let down. The articulation, specially in the arms, is rough. Only so much lift at the shoulders prevent so much dynamic poses. The torso, while narrow with little armor, doesn’t allow to make aggressive turns. Same goes for the head. I found myself constantly knocking the arms out of the shoulder sockets. I actually started removing the arms finding the position and putting them back in. Just a heads up, the ball joint connector in the chest, goes too far back and can be difficult to pull back out. I used tweezers to get them back out. The shoulder armor causes this issue. The torso can pop off as well. The beam saber hilts fell off a decent amount during the video.
