When it comes to the pillars of worldbuilding, none give a better flavour for the world (pun very much intended here!) than when an writer explores the nature of food in their world. From how and what food is acquired, to what we do with it before serving it, there is a lot of variety, and so there's plenty of ways to make your worldbuilding distinct.
