My Acrylic Allergy and the Nail Products I Use

*** Disclaimer - I have recently done more investigation and found that I am allergic to HEMA and not acrylic itsself as I can use HEMA free monomer with acrylic powder ***

This video explains my personal allergy to acrylic and how it has affected the way I do my nails and the products I choose.

My allergy may not be the same as some viewers and so please do your own investigations before applying any product to your skin as I know from my own experience that an allergic reaction can be serious and everyone’s skin is different and can tolerate different levels of certain chemicals. Always do a patch test and seek medical advice immediately if you show any symptoms of a reaction.

That said, lets get on with the fun stuff!

As I mentioned in the video, I love sculpting nails but was devastated when I had a reaction to the monomer in the acrylic set I was using. From then on I have not been able to use acrylic and have stuck to gel ever since. While I love the look of gel nails I really miss the sculpting element of acrylic and was delighted when I finally found something I could use which I love just as much without any reactions!
