The Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education is holding an emergency meeting to discuss their reopening plans during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Leaders are expected to discuss possible changes to their Plan B reopening.
Currently, students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade are scheduled to begin a hybrid model of learning November 2. Students would report to class for one full week and then return to remote learning for two weeks. The plan is based on an A/B/C rotation of students. The plan first brings back the youngest students with high schools not scheduled to return to school classrooms until after the Christmas and New Year holiday.
