Wherever home is, we lead a minimalist lifestyle and have done so even before it became a trend. When you grow up with little money in the family, minimalism isn't really a choice. You don’t even realise you’re “practising” minimalism. You just know that certain purchases are necessities while others are a luxury you can’t afford.

Now in adulthood, we use the minimalism lessons from our childhood to help us lead a minimalist lifestyle and practice gratitude. Gratitude for being taught how to really appreciate our 'home', wherever 'home’ may be. Gratitude for seeing our families struggle and getting through it, even when life felt impossible. Gratitude for knowing that ‘home’ is not bricks and mortar, but is where the unconditional love lives.

When we can focus on having less, or more accurately, on what we need, then we are able to be thankful that we can fulfil those needs. We then begin to naturally reflect on what to fill the space with *instead*. The intangible things are what matter. Filling our home with love, calm and gratitude is a priority for us. We can feel it in the air.

And because we are all human, we occasionally treat ourselves to guilty pleasures that remind us, we will never be perfect at any of this :)

We hope 2022 brings you a sense of 'home' whether that be love, friendship or even simple bricks and mortar.
