Warning: You Can Get Wrecked Not Understanding the Economics of ASIC Miners.

Time to rant. Every Big YouTuber is posting videos on the great Aleo miners, or this miner/that miner. I am a home miner, but I am being honest and saying NOTHING is looking very good right now.

Aleo miners WILL NOT make what they say they are making once a bunch of them get turned on. For example in the few days since I recorded this rant until totday 2/22/2025 the estimated earnings of the AE0 has dropped from $36/day to $26/day. That's like a 30% decrease in just a few days and not many of the miners have been shipped and turned out yet.
