This is a duet arrangement of Blue Skies meant for advanced saxophonists. While it could be performed on any two saxophones of the same key, it was conceived for performance as a tenor saxophone duet. The introduction and ending feature a pedal point that is evocative of eastern-inspired jazz. Both parts get plenty of opportunity to play the melody and lead lines, including jazz-inspired improvisatory riffs. This arrangement requires advanced technical facility and lots of breath stamina, but is loads of fun!
