Roanoke is a special place for me. My wife and I met there, were engaged there, and it's where I got my start in tv. It has that great balance between city and mountains. Downtown has a mix of shops with an eclectic food scene (note the bone luge!). The mountain biking draws enthusiasts from several states. The scenery, as evident in the first few seconds of this piece, is fantastic. In this episode of PBS' Virginia Found, you'll find more than a few things that make you want to visit. - Dave
