Donald Trump Breaks Silence On Bad Bunny As Super Bowl Halftime Performer

Donald Trump is weighing in on Bad Bunny being selected as the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer. In an interview with Newsmax on Oct. 6, host Greg Kelly referred to the Puerto Rican rapper as “Bad Bunny rabbit” and asked the President if people should potentially “boycott” the NFL over the choice, claiming the 31-year-old “hates ICE.” “I’ve never heard of him. I don’t know who he is – I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s like crazy,” the 79-year-old responded, adding, “And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.” Though Trump did not specify the “promoter” he was referring to, Jay-Z and his company Roc Nation have produced the halftime show since entering an agreement in 2019. On Sunday, Sept. 28, it was revealed that the Grammy winner would headline this year’s show. While many people online shared their excitement, some conservative figures expressed disappointment, leading the singer to address his critics as he hosted the Season 51 premiere of “Saturday Night Live” on Oct. 4.
