Welcome aboard one of the most technologically advanced and awe-inspiring yachts ever built: Luminosity. This 107.6-meter (353-foot) hybrid giga-yacht is a floating palace that redefines modern yachting, blending cutting-edge green technology with palatial design. Delivered in 2020 by Benetti, Luminosity is one of the largest yachts ever built in Italy and boasts over 800 square meters of floor-to-ceiling glass. With a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, a 3-meter-deep swimming pool, a glass elevator, and a botanical garden onboard, Luminosity is not just a yacht—it’s a futuristic statement. Let’s dive into every stunning detail of this shimmering giant on the water.
Luminosity's exterior is a work of engineering art, with an ultra-modern aesthetic that manages to be both bold and elegant. Designed by Zaniz Jakubowski and Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture, this steel and aluminum yacht stretches an impressive 107.6 meters (353 feet) in length and spans a beam of 17 meters (55.7 feet). Her sleek, nearly vertical bow and vast superstructure give her a commanding presence at sea.
The most striking exterior feature is her unparalleled use of glass. Over 800 square meters (8,611 square feet) of floor-to-ceiling glass panels wrap around the yacht, offering uninterrupted panoramic views from every level. Unlike many yachts that use small windows or portholes, Luminosity embraces a full glass curtain wall—some of which span multiple decks—creating a seamless visual connection between the exterior and interior.
Her profile is defined by gentle, flowing lines that taper toward a graceful stern. The yacht's vast aft decks cascade toward the sea with tiered platforms and staircases, leading to an impressive beach club. The helipad on the bow allows for easy access, while her upper decks are tiered to create vast sun terraces ideal for lounging, entertaining, or simply enjoying the open sea.
The hull features a pearlescent white paint that shimmers in sunlight—hence the name Luminosity. Integrated LED lighting systems subtly illuminate the yacht’s exterior at night, turning her into a glowing sculpture on the water. Everything about Luminosity’s exterior speaks of meticulous detail, from the custom-designed stainless steel railings to the concealed mooring stations that preserve her clean lines.
Step inside Luminosity and you're no longer on a yacht—you’re inside a museum of contemporary art and innovation. The interior design was led by Zaniz Interiors, and it's a seamless blend of minimalism, opulence, and futuristic detailing.
The moment you enter, you’re greeted by a soaring atrium that rises through multiple decks, with natural light cascading through the glass walls. The space is flooded with warm tones, exotic woods, natural stone, and sculptural furniture. Over 370 different materials were used in the interior, including rare marbles like Calacatta and Lapis Lazuli, as well as custom metalwork and mosaics sourced from artisans around the world.
There are six decks of living space, totaling over 3,000 square meters (32,300 square feet), and each room is a masterpiece. The owner's suite is located forward on the upper deck and includes a private lounge, his-and-hers bathrooms, dressing rooms, and an office—all with panoramic views. The walls in the master suite are lined with natural silk and feature integrated LED artworks that respond to movement and time of day.
The guest cabins—there are 12 in total including VIP suites—are designed like five-star hotel rooms, each with en-suite bathrooms, large windows, and completely bespoke themes. One cabin features a glass wall that looks directly into the swimming pool from below, casting shimmering blue light across the room.
Luminosity’s grand salon features a floor-to-ceiling waterfall installation, with water trickling behind a sheet of onyx. A massive video wall can project art, nature scenes, or digital displays to suit any mood. The dining area seats 20 guests beneath a sculpted ceiling installation that resembles a wave frozen in time. Even the corridors are works of art, some lined with illuminated panels featuring animated forest scenes or abstract visuals.
And yes, there's a glass elevator that runs through all decks. Every corner of this yacht’s interior speaks to the future—not only in materials and craftsmanship, but in imagination.
While the aesthetics are jaw-dropping, the amenities onboard Luminosity set a new standard for floating luxury. Starting at the lower deck, the beach club is among the largest ever built on a private yacht. Spanning the full beam, it opens to the sea on three sides and includes a hammam (Turkish bath), a massage room, and a fully equipped gym with fold-out terraces. There’s also a Japanese-style plunge pool and a snow room for cryotherapy.
