Here’s my honest opinion 👇🏼

Just spent a day in Rome and here’s the cost breakdown! 🏛️💸

🛌 Hotel: €69 per person per night
✈️ Flights: €90 per person
🍝 Lunch: €21 for 2 people
🍕 Dinner: €56 for 2 people
🎟️ Colosseum tickets (includes Roman Forum and Imperial Fora): €24 per person

Pro tips to remember when visiting Rome:

🔖 Buy tickets in advance: It saves you time and sometimes money. Plus, my ticket for Rome included the Roman Forum and Imperial Fora too!
🪪 Carry an ID with you wherever you go. Entry to the Colosseum requires a valid ID. They usually ask for the passport but I’ll suggest not to carry your passport but other IDs such as National ID, Drivers license instead.
🍽️💡 Service fees & taxes: Restaurants charge a mandatory 10-15% service fee and 10% taxes. Keep this in mind when budgeting for meals.
💧💵 Water charges: If you ask for water at restaurants, be prepared to pay an extra €3-€6, as they usually don’t serve tap water. Bring your own water bottle to save money.
🚰🇮🇹 Free water fountains: There are water fountains all over Italy with cold, fresh, and safe drinking water. Perfect for refilling your bottle!
👜👀 Watch out for pickpockets: Rome is known for pickpocket scams, especially around tourist attractions. Keep your belongings secure. I had a lanyard on my phone and kept valuables in the hotel locker.
🥗❌ Vegetarian and vegan options: There are limited vegetarian options and almost no vegan options in restaurants. Plan ahead if you have dietary restrictions.
👀🚫 Eve teasing: Be aware of eve teasing by men. Stay alert and try to travel in groups if possible.
