Basics of portrait drawing to create a 3-D representation on a 2-D page. Primary principles of constructive drawing of the portrait using simple geometric forms in the spirit of Andrew Loomis and George Bridgeman. Drawing-through the form, finding corresponding symmetries, surface centers, core centers, planes, and receding lines in perspective will be discussed and demonstrated using a simple ball and facial mask maquette of the head.
