This video is both a review of the CG-3000 and a comparison of a vertical vs horizontal dipole.
Signals were comparable between horizontal dipole and vertical (generally marginally lower on vertical) but the main difference was in noise floor (~S3 on vertical, ~S1 on dipole) where a ~9dB difference was observed.
