On 20 May 2012, the Citizens Theatre hosted " Johnny Beattie - A Diamond Celebration". This night, designed to celebrate Johnny's incredible 60 years in showbiz, featured variety performances from a host of stars, including Alan Cumming, The Alexander Brothers and Una McLean.
Some friends were unable to attend, but recorded video messages which were played on the night. Here are the messages they sent.
