Laser Center of Maryland’s own Dr. Mallalieu gives a brief overview of our MicroLaserPeel procedure.

The top layer of our skin is mostly old and dead skin; the MicroLaserPeel clears away that skin and makes way for a new regenerative growth. It also gives the new skin underneath a chance to show throw, giving you an instantly more youthful glow.

Dr. Mallalieu can administer MicroLaserPeel at varying degrees depending on the needs of the skin and the desired outcome of the patient.

Recovery time also varies depending on the intensity of the procedure; the deeper the laser goes, the longer the recovery will be.

You can expect recovery from a less intense procedure in a couple days, whereas a deeper procedure may take up to a week for a full recovery.

In the meantime, it may feel similar to having a sunburn in the areas where the MicroLaserPeel was administered. Dr. Mallalieu suggests using an antibiotic ointment for a few days to help the healing process.
