How to Create a Design Brief in 6 Steps

How do you communicate to a product designer what you want from them? Draw things on a whiteboard? Show a competitor's app and ask them to do yours like that, but better? Send them telepathic waves?

All of this is possible, although we don't recommend relying on telepathy too much. However, there are more effective ways to ensure a designer embodies your vision. And the most common is creating a design brief.
