The latest fishing gear for big blue catfish is designed specifically for these fish, so Team FishTalk hit the Potomac River with John from Okuma and Alex from @anglersannapolis9847 to test different fishing tackle and see how to best gear up for monster blue cats. The blue catfish are an invasive species whose populations have grown to massive proportions in the waters of virtually all Chesapeake Bay tributaries. Armed with the new @OkumaFishingUSA Cat Slayer Custom fishing rods and Ceymar baitfeeder reels, we checked out the newest catfishing gear and hooked into a 42-pound river monster.
