Sukhoi Su 57 ZVEZDA 1:72 build

I wanted to build this kit for a long time , it was a Christmas present from my wife ,( thank you my darling XX.) I eventually started the kit in about April . The kit is excellent , not much building involved in these stealth fighters , when you open the box it looks as if someone has already built it !! Lots of jewelery to hang under the wings , I didn't build the undercarriage . I decided to do the Shark Scheme as I think the aircraft looks very striking .( Almost like 2 aircraft .) I laboured over getting the shape and colour of the scheme to look right . I had concerns about the decals , there is SO MUCH transparent decal carrying the walkway demarkation .They cover most of the wing and extend over the fuselage !! You can imagine my horror , after 2 coats of PLEDGE , rubbed down nice and smooth , micro sol and Microset .... when a couple of hours later the worst case of silvering I have ever seen appeared on the dark blue !!!!! I tried anothe coat of Pledge , no good , so after 2 weeks decided to finish off with a coat of matt varnish . wish I had left the walkways off quite frankly . I still love the aircraft , aaaaah well ! .... see followup vid - removal of decals ...........
