This video shows how to make a healthy tasty recipe which can be served both at breakfast and dinner or even an after school snack and also in the lunchbox. This is a traditional south indian recipe known as Upma Kozhukattai.This is healthy as it is double boiled, once while making the upma, and again steamed while making the kozhukattai. .It is suitable for people of all ages as it is easily digestible too.
Ingredients
Raw rice 1 cup
Tuvar Dal(Red gram) 2 Tbsp
Dry red Chilli 1
Moong Dal (green gram dal 2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Grated Coconut 1/2 cup
oil for seasoning 2 Tbsp
hing/Asafoetida a pinch
salt
pepper 3-4
mustard seeds 1/2 Tsp
cumin seeds 1 Tsp
water 2 cups
