👤 Robin Hartfiel is the Managing Editor and Publisher of Dealernews Magazine. He has spent over 35 years in motorcycle industry media and marketing. Former Editor-in-Chief and publisher of Dealernews circa 1990-2003, Robin returned to the magazine. In addition to having been instrumental in creating the Dealernews Top 100 program (still the industry's ultimate accolade for a motorcycle dealership), Hartfiel has worked for most of the B2B publications in the Powersports arena. Prior to the trade side, he worked as a beat reporter for a local newspaper and was an editor of publications ranging from All About Beer to VW Trends. In 2020 he was elected to the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) Board of Directors. Hartfiel said he is honored to be serving on the MIC board: “As an industry, we are at a critical juncture and we owe it to ourselves to be committed and engaged as we can be.” Robin also has served on the MIC Aftermarket Committee since 1992. Colleagues characterize him in the following way: “Robin is the finger on the pulse of our industry, an encyclopedia of knowledge, a wordsmith among wordsmiths and a dedication to his craft like you wouldn't believe”.
