On Saturday, August 2 2025, the Oldtimer‑Grand‑Prix’s Grand Prix circuit came alive with non‑stop racing from early afternoon through the evening. This highlight reel captures straight‑through full‑throttle sound and visuals from all Saturday races, as the Eifel sky shifted from bright sun to a relaxed post‑dusk breeze.

Saturday’s broad mix of eras and races included:
Tourenwagen Golden Ära (DTM-era touring cars, late ’90s–2000s)
Classic race‑cars like BMW E30 M3s, Mercedes 190E Evolutions, Audi V8 QSOs, and Opel Calibras lined up for the two 30‑minute races. With near‑identical machinery and close competition, the exhaust tone through the pits and Turn 13 chicane was unmistakable.

STW Supertourenwagen (Two‑litre icons, 1992–2000)
A dedicated field of iconic supertourenwagen—BMW 318is, Opel Astra Tis, and Alfa 156 TS—proceeded on a slippery track surface from Turn 17 to the pit apron. The intensity among equally matched four‑pots offered tightly packed passes.

Oldtimer-Grand-Prix

HGPCA (Historic Grand Prix Cars Association, front‑engine F1/F2 up to 1965)
Pre‑’61 F1 and F2 machinery like front‑engine Maserati 250Fs, BRMs and Lotus 18s rolled onto the grid. The slender single‑seaters echoed aero‑less torque and vintage heroics in tight line‑ups, then scythed down the pit straight in silence‑erasing form.

HR Historic Championship ’65 & ’81 (GT, touring & sportscars up to 1965/1981)
Ford GT40s, Jaguar E‑Types, early Zakspeeds, Porsche 904s, BMW CSLs and Alfa TZs featured across sprint and longer race formats. The mixing of eras created wheel‑to‑wheel battles rich in patina and pitch shift.

FHR Historic Championship CanAm & Sportscars (up to 2006 prototypes)
From ex‑Group C Porsche 962s to Ferrari F40 LM, Lola T70s and Chevron CanAm cars, this class raised decibels through every corner. The roar echoed across the Green Hell; wheelspin under power and smoky wheelouts were all part of the atmosphere.

Masters Racing Legends (Formula One cars 1966–1985)
