Student Start-Up Accelerator Program - Entrepreneurship for High School Students

Student Startup is a business accelerator program for young people enabling a platform to launch innovation and entrepreneurship.


The program has two streams Introduction to Entrepreneurship for beginners and the Accelerator Academy for those students who already have gained some traction with their idea.


Successful applicants will have access to seed funding, 5 days of workshops run by start up experts as well as mentoring from entrepreneurs, all supported by Melbourne Innovation Center.

The Story

This Student Startup ran for the first time in 2018 and is specifically aimed at high school students. With help from the Melbourne Innovation Center, five students worked on their ideas with mentors and were given financial support.

Noterist: Founded by Daniel from Parade College
Noterist was a web based application for storage of images of class notes that can be accessed anywhere. They can be taken by phone and, once tagged and described, will be available on your devices for further study.

Liam from Diamond Valley College: Founder of Divine Society
Divine Society is street-wear brand with a difference. As street-wear brands have become expensive, teenagers have found it harder to access. Liam created Divine Society to be a street-wear brand that is fashionable while staying affordable to young people.

Manu from Eltham High School: Founder of WifiWall Australia
WifiWall Australia allows parents to easily control which of their children’s devices can access the home Wi-Fi network at any time. This takes the form in a phone based app that allows parents to control individual devices network access.

Leo from Viewbank College: Founder of Mythic Realms
Mythic Realms has created a new server gamemode, using Skyblock to provide gamers with a fun and unique Minecraft experience. It will feature higher levels of customer service, implement new features and create a friendlier gaming environment.
