Spoilers:
In the pll books, Alison had a twin sister named Courtney. Alison was jealous of her, so she screwed her over and got her diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia to send her to the mental hospital and get rid of her. Jason clearly knew this, because he always favored Courtney, and visited her every weekend. Courtney got a chance to switch witn Alison, and she took it. She was the one who befriended the liars. Alison, in the mental hospital as Courtney, acted like she was better so she would get sent home, then she killed Courtney and became A (after Mona).
Courtney deserved better.
Plot of this video: Jason and Courtney teamed up to get revenge on Alison for what she did. They attacked Alison the night of her “death” and Courtney was sent back to Radley (like CeCe). She met Mona there, and became A with Jason.
