[Seattle] AMR Ambulance Lights & Siren Collection!

Captured here are a variety of American Medical Response (AMR) emergency ambulances responding to various medical calls all over the city of Seattle!

AMR is a private company, which is contracted by the city of Seattle for some ambulances services. AMR vehicles are staffed by EMTs, who provide basic life support (BLS) and transportation among hospitals and medical facilities in the area. More highly-trained paramedics, who work for the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) and the ‘Medic One’ program respond to more severe advanced-life-support (ALS) calls in Seattle.

As it was explained to be my firefighters in Seattle, AMR ambulances are most often called to assist the fire department with basic medical calls. For instance AMR will transport patients who are in a non life threatening condition to the hospital instead of using a fire department medic unit.
