A while ago I showed off a new brand for the local services in Newport on the Isle of Wight. Renumbering them from the 901 through 905 to 91 through 95, they were to receive Newport Nines branding with a teal accent and rear-end colour scheme. In the time between the debut of the new brand and today, I've taken National Busways into their next identity: Morse 2. With the Newport Nines branding yet to be rolled out, I've reworked the livery into the Morse 2 scheme. Alongside it rebranded the Island's network more broadly from Southern Vectis to simply "Vectis", the codemark changing from the letters SV to the letter V, which makes it visually identical to the ST codemark used by Solent Blue and Solent Red on the mainland. The Newport Nines rebrand also brings with it a small shake up in the way the fleet on the Island is managed. The Newport Nines gets priority allocation of all the Enviro200 MMCs and Enviro200 E20Ds needed to fill the network's PVR of 8 EM-types and 14 ES-types, while the Solo SRs and the small fleet of mixed older vehicles including 2 Dennis Dart MPDs are allocated to local routes across the island. This change should bring identity and unity to the local network of one of the biggest towns on the Isle of Wight
