Major Flooding Damage In Steuben County, NY

On August 9th major flooding occurred around Steuben County New York including the town of Canisteo and many other towns. Other areas affected by these major floods were located in Pennsylvania. Many homes have been deemed uninhabitable after high flood waters struck many homes, and businesses. Roadways, homes, and farms have been washed apart by these powerful flood waters. During the flood many trees struck homes or even crashing right through them, unfortunately many homes were washed down stream along with vehicles and other flood debris. Cleanup is underway and will take a long time to complete, roadways are washed out or covered with tree debris, including homes with upwards to 2 to 3 feet of mud in some homes.
