CHEAPEST SKETCHBOOK! Amazon basics sketchbook review Cheap art supplies testing

Amazon basics sketchbook review. This is a 36 sheet / 72 page, off white sketchbook with a little bit of tooth / texture to it, the pages claiming to be 200gsm thickness. It does describe the paper as watercolour paper, so I test this amongst other drawing & painting mediums in the video ( see description below). The small sketchbook I am showing here on camera ( smaller than A5 slightly ) is classed as 'large' on the Amazon page measuring 21 x 13 cm. There is a larger version that is similar to A4 that seems to be hit and miss for being in stock. The sketchbook is hardback and also has a ribbon / bookmark and an internal accordion pocket. It's currently listed for around £4.40 / $5 ish with the option to subscribe and save for a bigger discount.

I tested the following mediums in the amazon basics sketchbook ( I will add links to the products below): Various hard and soft graphite leads from mechanical pencils, as well as an erasor to see if any indents were left on the page from the sharped 0.3 graphite lead. Several inking pens / fine liners / brush pens with heavy black ink, including a sharpie marker. Colored pencils as well as watercolor pencils. I then moved on to water colours with a brush and lots of water. Last of all I used some markers, starting with water based / aqua markers and then trying alcohol based markers ( copic markers ) to see how the sketchbook held up. You can see the results in the video, but it did pretty well on all the above.
Considering what you get for the price I actually think it's pretty decent! You can also see it's heavily reviewed on Amazon if you are still unsure (link below)
