80,000 miles on a Ferrari 355! And it’s not even the highest-mileage one I’ve serviced. Big plans are in store—but first, we need to see if this car is truly worth the investment.

First of all, what an outstanding example of a Ferrari F355. A 1994 Euro-spec, non-airbag, ME 2.7 GTS with carbon seats is already a unicorn. Add a Capristo exhaust and high-flow cats, and you have something truly special. Every F355 is a joy to drive, but this one feels different—flirtatious, begging to be pushed, rewarding you every mile. It’s easy to see how it racked up 80,000 miles.

The owner knows he has something rare and plans to enjoy it, so the odometer reading doesn’t matter. What matters is that he wants the car pristine. When he took delivery, the condition was below his standards. Before finalizing our scope of work, I brought it into the shop for a complete inspection to determine what we’re working with—and if it’s worth the investment.

So join me as I take you through this Ferrari F355 inspection, top to bottom. My focus is mechanical condition, but I’ll also cover cosmetic details. Once we have a full picture, I’ll share my findings—and more importantly, what’s in store for this car. Let’s just say it’s going to be an outstanding, and very big, project.
