all right Severance fans I think we might be able to finally correct the case of Miss Casey so after the first two episodes of season 2 we learned Mark is working on a file called Cold Harbor being very important to lummen so much so that they probably spared no expense this file is then associated with Miss Casey scene at the end of episode 1 with Mark theoretically mapping her mind piecing it back together mapping the correct ratio of the four tempers my assumption is that no one has actually gotten this far in the file making Mark that much more important important and the second thing we learn at the diner is that Mark actually saw gemma's body the night of the car accident in my opinion you got to see a body to know the character has truly perished however as we know Miss Casey is somehow alive on the severed floor despite the car crash body funeral all of it now the interesting thing is car crashes are mentioned or hinted at far more than they should be gemma's car accident in our main storyline one of the severed employees in Irving's pile of notes and in the Lexington letter the main character of Peggy apparently passes due to complications after a car accident we could Loop in Miss Wang as well with her saying that she was a crossing guard somewhat car adjacent so with the immense power and influence that Lumen is literally looming over everything Lumen is listening what if they are like scooping scoring these dead or half dead bodies doing an old Switcheroo with bodies that they've cloned at Lumen I'll admit I I'm still working on this part and then experimenting or trying to map these people's brains who are permanently severed while presumed dead it would make sense why only one in five files is completed before they quote expire how far you got in the file but why don't we always finish the files it only keep so long you know we finish on average one in five files before they expire I think Lumen is essentially grave robbing both creating a free labor force that could work 24/7 while also using these lost souls as testing for their hundreds of products while also trying to map the tempers for an ultimate resurrection of Kier this explains the importance of Mark Gemma what the heck Lumen is doing but not so much the other MDR employees let me know your thoughts if you have any different theories everything in the comments
