One To Watch: Projekt Gestalten (Electronic Beats TV)

For the latest in Electronic Beats One To Watch series we put the spotlight on one of the most celebrated DJ’s in Berlin’s dynamic DJ Scene, Projekt Gestalten aka Diego Garcia.
Operating as head of the queer identifying VRAAA label and resident DJ at Pornceptual, Garcia has been bringing a cherished playfulness and raw energy to clubs from London, St. Petersburg and New York to São Paulo, Paris and of course Berlin over the years, often adorned in wedding dresses and baroque jewellery to bring a powerful centre stage presence to every party.
Here we meet with Garcia in Berlin to discuss experimental approaches to production, diversity in the techno scene, the design expression affiliated with VRAAA, inspirations for the new album ‘The Beast Within’ and more.
