Kerala Style Raw Papaya Curry - Papaya Curry

Ingredients
Papaya - 1 nos
Onion - 3 nos
Shallots - 7 to 8 nos
Garlic - 7 to 8 nos
Green chilli - 2 to 3 nos
Curry leaves - 2 to 3 sprigs
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Tamarind - small ball
Cumin seed - 1 tsp
Dry red chilli - 3 to 4 nos
Salt - 1 or 2 tsp
Oil - 3to 4 tbsp
Method
Firstly, we have to peel the papaya.
Then cut it in half and remove the seeds.
Then chop the papaya into small cubes and set aside.
Then chop the onion and set it aside.
Then chop the green chilli and set it aside.
Take a pot, add chopped papaya, green chilli and onion.
Add chopped tomatoes and curry leaves.
Then add turmeric powder and set aside.
Take a bowl, add tamarind and water, squeeze them well.
Pour the tamarind water into the papaya curry pan.
Pour a sufficient amount of water and salt ,mix them well.
Place the pan on the heat and stir them well.
Cover and cook them well.
Grind grated coconut and red chilli powder.
Again, add shallots, garlic and cumin seed.
grind them well to make a coarse paste and set aside.
Remove the lid from the cooking pan and mix them.
Add the coarse mixture of grated coconut and combine them well.
Pour in a sufficient amount of water and thoroughly mix.
Cook for a few minutes.
Remove from fire and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seed and let them sputter.
Add dry red chillies,shallots and curry leaves, saute and fry them well.
Remove from fire and pour the fried mixture in a papaya curry pan.
Combine them well.
Serve the tasty papaya curry with meals.
