This was my first holiday abroad.
Christmas and New Year’s in a new place and I spent it alone.
Not in a sad way. In a very intentional way.
In this video, I share what it was really like spending the holidays abroad on my own. From checking into a five star hotel on Christmas Eve, enjoying a quiet holiday dinner, watching fireworks on New Year’s Eve, to long video calls with my son in Thailand and quiet nights at home.
This isn’t a video about being lonely.
It’s about choosing yourself, redefining traditions, and learning that a different kind of holiday can still feel full.
