The Rhino Charge is an adrenaline rush event for those who love driving powerful vehicles over rough terrain in beautiful landscapes in the wilderness. Competitors are given a map with coordinates of the guard posts, scrutineering area, and about 13 control points. The team's target is to get to all the control points in the shortest number of kilometres. Each vehicle typically has a driver and navigator and four runners. The runners' job is to figure out the best way around or whether going over them would be the better option.
Adil has been involved in the Rhino Charge event for 33 years, inspiring him with a passion for the environment. He has raised more than Kshs 1 billion and is now leading a team named AK44 to build a powerful 6.2-litre, 500 brake horsepower vehicle.
