Corn Tikki Recipe
Ingredients
• Sweet corn – 1/2 cup (boiled, lightly crushed)
• Boiled potato – 2 medium (mashed)
• Onion – 2 tbsp (1 very finely chopped) optional
• Green chilli – 1-2 (finely chopped)
• Ginger – 1/4 tsp (grated)
• Coriander leaves – 1-2 tbsp (chopped)
• Cornflour – 1–2 tbsp (for binding) (Optional)
• Bread crumbs – 2 tbsp (optional, for extra crisp)
• Salt – to taste
• Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
• Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
• Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
• Oil – for shallow frying / pan frying
Method
• Boil corn and crush it slightly (don’t make paste).
• In a bowl, add corn, mashed potato, onion, chilli, ginger, coriander.
• Add spices, salt, cornflour, and breadcrumbs.
Mix well.
(to make bread crumbs toast bread and crush) as shown in video
• Shape into small round tikkis.
• Heat a pan with little oil, shallow fry on medium flame.
• Flip and cook till golden & crisp on both sides.
Serving ideas
• With green chutney + ketchup
• As chaat: add curd, chutneys & sev 😍
