Caught on CCTV before being murdered | The unsolved case of Vicky Glass

On an early November morning in the year 2000, the badly decomposed remains of a young woman were discovered by a member of the public on the outskirts of a village situated within England’s North Yorkshire countryside.

A swift identification of the victim ended the search for a 21 year old sex worker reported missing six weeks earlier from the town of Middlesbrough - roughly 20 miles away.

In the years following, a number of violent offenders would go on to be linked with the murder by both the police and media as the victim’s family continuously appealed for information.

Police would be granted significant additional funding in 2018 in an effort to finally identify the person or persons responsible and would release newly discovered CCTV footage showing the victim on the day of her disappearance in 2022.
