IEBC Selection Panel interviews 6 candidates for the body’s commissioners

Six candidates vying for positions as commissioners to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission were grilled Tuesday by the IEBC selection panel. Among them was Isaack Shaaban Ali, a former Member of Parliament for Mandera East, who came under intense scrutiny regarding his motivation to join what some have described as the "dirty game" of electoral politics. As the interviews unfolded, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi reassured the nation that the reconstitution of the IEBC remains on track for the 2027 general elections.
