How to Purl Stitch

1. After casting on the required number of stitches, hold the needle with stitches in your left hand and the needle without stitches in your right hand.
2. Bring your working end to the front of your work.
3. Slide the tip of your right needle into your next stitch, moving the tip away from the left needle’s tip.
4. Tilt your needles to create an X with your right needle in front.
5. Wrap your working end counterclockwise around your right needle.
6. Slide the tip of your right needle back through the stitch on your left needle, keeping the wrapped yarn on your right needle.
7. Move your right needle to remove the stitch from your left needle.
8. Repeat steps 2-7 until you have worked all stitches.
